At its 2013 Emerging Artist Symposium on Plays, SDCF hosted held a panel discussion exploring the professional evolution from assistant to executive director in the commercial theatre industry. SDCF Producing Director Ellen Rusconi moderates a panel of transitioning theatre artists including Shelley Butler, Benjamin Endsley Klein, and Tony Speciale in conversation about strategically building a career from several different vantage points. Listen as they share advice on nurturing your network, effectively pitching a show, accessing grants to fund projects, in addition to the pros and cons of graduate school.
