SDCF is open Monday through Thursday from 10am-6pm EDT and Friday from 10am-2pm EDT, with staff working remotely.

MISSION

SDCF celebrates, develops, and supports professional stage directors and choreographers throughout every phase of their careers. We work to build a theatrical community that reflects the cultural, racial, and gender diversity of our nation by creating opportunities for artists of all backgrounds to bring their full, authentic selves to their work as creative leaders in the theatre.

VISION

SDCF works to create access to the field, to connect artists, and to honor the theatrical legacy of these artists, at every stage of career. The centrality of the director’s/choreographer’s role in theatre and the impact that they have on other artists’ careers—from playwrights to designers to actors—makes SDC Foundation’s services essential to the theatre industry’s health and continued vitality.

Support SDCF

Giving to us ensures the access necessary for directors and choreographers to make the professional connections they need to find success in this competitive industry. Your dollars directly support the many exciting artists in our programs who cannot work for free, leveling the playing field. Give today to support the foundation of an American theatre shaped by a multitude of voices for generations to come.
