MANDY MOORE

The 2017 Emmy Award winner and six-time Emmy-nominee – Mandy Moore is a world-class Director, Producer, Choreographer, and Dancer best known for her ground-breaking work as a producer and choreographer on the global television hit So You Think You Can Dance. In 2017 she made history by being the first choreographer to choreograph for the Golden Globe Awards, Academy Awards, the Grammy Awards, and Emmy Awards in the same year!

On film, television, and stage, Mandy’s choreographic artistry has made her a sought after choreographer and producer and industry leader in dance and entertainment. Her highly acclaimed choreography can be seen throughout Damien Chazelle’s original movie musical La La Land which is the recipient of 7 Golden Globe Awards and 6 Academy Awards. More notable film credits include the Oscar-nominated films American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook, Did You Hear About the Morgans? with Hugh Grant, Leslye Headland’s film Sleeping with Other People, and a fashion film with David O. Russell for Prada.

Mandy is currently a choreographer, producer and guest judge for ABC’s hit television show Dancing with the Stars. Her recent television credit includes XQ Super School Live, which aired simultaneously on ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. In addition, her television work includes FOX’s Glee and American Idol; Nickelodeon’s The Fresh Beat Band; Disney’s 60th Anniversary Celebration on ABC, and Modern Family.

On stage she has worked with the L.A. Ballet Company’s innovative New Wave L.A. Program; Celine Dion’s sold-out Taking Chances concert tour; Britain’s Strictly Come Dancing; Cirque du Soleil’s My Immortal; and Shania Twain’s hit show, You’re Still the One, which took its final bow after a successful two-year run at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Mandy also directed and choreographed a crowd-pleasing stage production of The Wedding Singer, and brought Nobody Loves You Off-Broadway to Second Stage Theatre in New York after choreographing the show’s world premiere at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre.

Mandy also takes time teaching and educating the next generation of dance talent. Her contemporary and jazz choreography has been taught to students around the world. As of February 2017, she’s on the Board of Governors at the Television Academy leading the newly established Choreographer Peer Group.

 

WALTER PAINTER

Six-time Emmy Nominee and Three-time Emmy Award winner for his work in television which includes “Musical Comedy Tonight” for PBS’ Great Performances and the opening of the Disney MGM Theme Park. Painter has choreographed four Academy Award telecasts, as well as, television specials for Ann-Margaret, Lily Tomlin, Happy Birthday Hollywood and three Tony Award shows to name a few.

In theatre, Painter created the musical staging for City of Angels on Broadway, including the National and London companies. He has also directed productions of Cabaret, Once Upon a Mattress, Annie Get your Gun and Applause. His theatrical choreography credits include: Camelot, Hello, Dolly!, I Do, I Do, Oliver!, and Leave It to Jane at the Goodspeed Opera house.

In addition to his theatre and television work, he has staged Las Vegas shows for Bernadette Peters, Joel Grey, Lou Rawls, Ann-Margret, Sheena Easton, Julio Iglesias, Suzanne Sommers and Andy Williams. He directed and choreographed the Las Vegas production “Bal Du Moulin Rouge” and two editions of Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus. In film, he was responsible for the musical staging of the short film “Ray’s Heterosexual Dance Club” which won an Academy Award for Best Short Subject. He has also directed industrial shows for Toyota and Pontiac. Other works include the musical staging for President Clinton’s Inaugural Gala.

For the last 20+ years, Painter has devoted much of his time as the Founder and Board Chairman of the Nancy Painter Foundation for Mothers with Children. He and his wife, Charlene, together have raised over a million dollars to give assistance to at-risk single mothers and their children.
